JORDAN, RWANDA SIGN MOU TO BOOST ICT COOPERATION

Jordan and Rwanda have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Smeirat said the agreement covers several key areas, including AI, cloud computing, digital identity, cybersecurity, data protection, telecom infrastructure, digital payment systems and interconnectivity.
According to Smeirat, the ministry also wants to use the partnership to bring government institutions, businesses, universities and research bodies in both countries closer together, with the aim of turning the areas covered by the agreement into joint projects.
Additionally, the MoU also includes cooperation and knowledge-sharing on digital policy, the Internet of Things, big data, smart cities, e-commerce and data centre disaster recovery, the company revealed.
